New to Pekin Ducks help needed.

Is the thermometer right in where the ducklings are? Is that actually 40F for them or just outside the brooder?

My concerns would be - the protein seems a little high, but it depends on how much of everything you are feeding them. And for temperature, much of a duckling's development is internal - heart, nerves, bones - the recommended temperatures are, to my understanding, so that the ducklings have energy to spend developing healthy bodies rather than diverting energy to keep warm.

Those are my thoughts.

It is clear that you care about them.

40 degrees is the lowest temp outside at night...inside about 65 degrees. I feed them the starter/grower 20% and mix in greens, ground dog food, oatmeal.
