New to raising chickens and this site.

Hello fellow chicken lovers. New to raising chickens. We are getting 90 chickens Wednesday. I can't wait! Any advise anyone can give me from mistakes you may have made starting out or things you've learned that could be helpful to a newbie? Especially, dealing with feed. There are so many options out there. Thanks for taking time to help me. I really appreciate it. I'm so glad to have this site to come to.

There's so much information on raising them. I used a brooder box with heat lamp. worked great. I'll add, based on my failings, when they are small, the wire on your run may not be big enough to keep the chicks in. If they can get out they will and your dog or cat will be on the other side of the fence waiting for an easy snack. I also free range them in the yard (full size now), but I never leave my dog alone with them.
