Hello, my wife and I , were discussing getting a few hens when a cousin overheard our conversaion. He brought us seven easter chics that he didnt want. I built them a coop based loosley on several BYC designs. We have been feeding the flock chic starter. Some of the birds have red butts and loose stool . Is this normal? We also let them out daily so they also forrage.I am not sure what type or sex of chickens we have.. To be honnest, we are'nt sure of much. I didnt really have time to do alot of research before these chics were orphaned on my doorstep. Any advice would be appreciated.
