New to raising chickens in Michigan!

Thanks for all the welcomes and words of encouragement, we appreciate it very much. We are located in south central Michigan, just south of Lansing. We are currently preparing for our big arrival in a few days, getting quite excited. The cat and dogs have had a good lecture on manners around their new siblings, we don't need any altercations or jealousy in the home. I think they understand; we'll soon find out.

This is the place to come! I've been on here for a few months and don't own any chickens yet either. By the time I get my chicks in May, I'll be an old hand at this "chicken thing".
