(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
April 2020, we purchased 1 day old chicks, one did not make it from the start, we now have 5 ISA Browns

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
5

(3) What breeds do you have?
ISA Brown

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
They are friendly, curious, playful and smart (easy to train)

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Traveling, hiking, anything outdoors

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We have 5 children (age range 17-20, only 2 at home) and 2 grandchildren. We live on a 100 acre farm: 50+ acres rented to farmer that plants corn/ soy and 25+ acres of preserved wet lands. We have chickens, lots of barn cats, indoor cats and a dog. We allow the girls to free roam during the day and they have a secure coop they use just for sleeping. They have a separate pen that they will use at times. Each night by 830, they want to return to the coop.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D Internet search as I have been researching raising chickens
