Today my family and I just got some chicklings and ducklings from tractor supply. My granddad said I couldnt handle any of them too much bcuz it could kill them. One of the ducklings seems like its just learning how to walk eat and drink. How often should I handle it? I wanna make sure it gets the things it needs and that it can walk properly as it gets older. Am I fine to pick it up as much as I want to?

As long as it doesn't get chilled you can take it out for a bit. Ducklings need a ration formulated for them. Some can develop leg problems if the feed isn't for duckling.

Both chicklings and ducklings can't be held that often due to both bacteria on your hand, or the cause of being chilled. Yes its fine holding them, but don't do it so much. Also wash your hands before handling with them of course. Good luck! And happy raising.

The ducklings will need an extra source of niacin if you aren't doing that already. The chicks don't need it.
Hold them as often as you like. Be cognizant of how warm/cool they are while you are hodling them. As very young birds, they can get chilled easily. If you are in an area where it is warm outside already, then you should be fine, but just be aware of their temp.
Be aware they will go through a phase where they are afraid of everything and even though they were fine with being handled, they will flip out. They get over it.
Birds poop. It happens. I'd suggest holding them with a towel so you aren't getting pooped all over. Wash your hands once you are done holding them and you'll be fine.
