New To Raising Meat birds

I've cut the necks and chopped heads off before. I much prefer just wringing them. It's less of a hassle and the only tools you need are your hands.
It really comes down to whatever you're most comfortable doing - some people can't handle being that hands-on. I can't handle a chicken running around with it's head cut off, so I exsanguinate.

Shoechickens - do whatever sounds best to you - the most important thing is that you don't lose your nerve in the middle and wound an animal without killing it.

(also, I'd suggest bleach bottles instead of milk bottles - I'd be worried about a standard milk bottle tearing/breaking with an 8lb broiler)
