I’ve rescued 3 silkie chickens one rooster and 2 hens. I don’t know to much about them this is my 1st time with silkies. So any advice would help :).

Oh, Silkies! I used to have 4, boy, do I miss them! Have you ever kept any other chickens before? Do you have any other chickens right now besides them?

If so, they are just like any other chicken breed. Make sure that they're kept warm :)

Just make sure that they are kept very safe from predators, their crests are a big disadvantage when it comes to predators. And if one of their crests happens to get in their way of seeing, simply trim their crest :D

Thank you all for your help. I don’t have chickens but I did have them growing up. I spent the day building a coop that’s rain proof and warm. And I did a yard for them that’s covered :)

Yay I'm so excited for you and your new silkies! I see you have wood shavings (totally cool, I do too:lol:) but just a pro tip for silkies- with their 5-toed-feather-feet, sometimes wet bedding can accumulate on their feet and stick leading to limping or other foot related problems. This doesn't happen all the time, but you can experience it with silkies! Just keep and eye on their feet:) good luck!
