NEW to site! ROOSTER??

Can anyone tell me what type of breed or mix this guy could be? Showed up as a "stray" at a friend's home. Picking him up tomorrow!

The picture won't enlarge for me, but it looks to me like a cross-breed. Maybe it has some Red-star in there, but a pure Red-star rooster isn't actually red.

I would suggest getting a couple hens for him, to keep him happy. But do whatever works for you.

Your picture enlarged for me, I think he is a mix also, his tail is kinda all over the place. A rooster can handle 10 hens,. You could post at "what breed or gender is this," for more opinions. Welcome to Backyard Chickens.
