Hello. I'm new to the site and while I was looking around I ran across a photo of a beautiful silkie walking across a fence in the shade of a tree. I have wanted to go back to that particular photo to ask what the specifics were on that breed and cannot find it. The coloring was golden trimmed with black it seemed. It was an amazing bird. Anyone have ideas. Am I right that it is a silkie? Also, what's an EE? Is there a guide to all the abbreviations being used? I can get a few, but not most.

In the meantime, I happy to be a part of such a great forum. I could spend hours just looking and reading!!

Hope you enjoy BYC - it's a great place to make new online friends, learn, and share your experiences!

In the blue bar at the top of the page, you'll find the search feature. You can use that to look up information on EEs - there have been many, many threads on them. They are Easter Eggers, or "mutt Ameraucanas." Most Ameraucanas sold as such from hatcheries are EEs.

Hello ! and Welcome to BYC !! from Ontario Canada !!

You have come to the right place for information.....about the abbreviations being used...I found my teenager came in handy to help me out in that department..I believe an EE is the short form for the breed Easter Egger..but dont quote me on that one......sorry I cannot help you with the other questions....
