New to the chicken business, and new coop constructed

Well, decided to get some chickens for the backyard. We live in the city (10th biggest city in US, but chickens are legal) but we have a good size yard for them to roam around. Opted to get some hens that are already laying, instead of starting with chicks...maybe we'll try that next year.
I built a coop that's about 3.5x8', indoor part is about 3x3'. I think it will work okay for 3 hens since they will have a lot of outside time. It's almost complete, minus roof...I'm keeping an eye out for some recycled roof panels or wood shingles.

Nice.... It looks like it wants to be a Tractor. Remember when you add chicks you will need more space. Typically its four square feet per chicken in the coop, ten square feet each in the run. So plan on eventually building a larger one. LOL... Welcome to the world of Chicken Math. LOL....
