I am new to the chicken world, and i am OBSESSED!!!!! We are starting by getting 4- 1 new hampshire red, 1 buff orpington, 1 easter egger and 1 - this will be mine - silver laced wyandotte. We ( me and my dad ) will be building our own coop as long as we have time. I might have some questions coming up... so help will be wanted and needed! I am so excited! I have spent some time with chickens and I adore them. We are planning on getting the girls (yes, no roosters) around june 17. i cant wait till then!
you could start at the Learning Center and then branch out to meet your needs. If you post on your state thread ('where am I, where are you,,") you may find others close enough to assist you.
