Greetings all! Proud mom of around 60 ladies and 3 gents. Absolutely love raising out with chickens. Started with 214 (some broilers) and 41 turkeys. Found it hard to butcher my babies so I'm paring it down a bit and only raising the meat birds every few years when my freezer gets empty. Looking forward to being a member of the BYC community. I can imagine getting meat birds would be easier to cull as you don't have to raise them as long, plus know not to get attached to those.
