Before I go on, I would like to assure everyone that we went through the proper means of integration. It's been a few weeks and our new hen is still picking on the original members of the flock. One of the original girls has even taken to roosting by herself. She sits at the entrance of the coop at night, blocking the others from getting in. If they attempt, she pecks them. They do not fight back. I have taken pity on the original flock member who has been roosting alone, and I put her in with the other hens. Then I remove the offending bully, and put her in the extra coop. The other hens seem really happy to see her, and coo once she joins them again.

Our original flock is very peaceful and doesn't engage in conflict or drama. The pecking order is a gray area, except for the vigilant leader who is benevolent. This new hen is causing all sorts of drama. I know they need to work it out, but she shouldn't be keeping the original flock from entering the coop, and I'm not going to let her.

"If you even attempt to get in I'll peck your waddles!"
