1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? No I have been around chickens most of my life because my mom loves. I just got my own flocks this year.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? I have 11 layers (speckled Sussex, Olive Eggers, and Easter Eggers). I had an unfortunate predator attack last Thursday and lost 10 birds. (Calico and Lemon Blue cochins and polish)
(3) What breeds do you have? speckled Sussex, Olive Eggers, and Easter Eggers. I also have six 3 week old polish chicks.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? They are entertaining
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? I teach puppy obedience classes and show and compete with
my corgis. I also make fleece dog toys.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I am single and a licensed massage therapist and coming onto my first year in my own business, but have been in the Industry for almost 10 years.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? I have seen the forum on Google. Wanting to learn more about chickens.

predators are brutal, hard on the heart to lose birds.
