Hi my name is Jaime Varela we recently just got out of the military and bought some property in North Carolina we decided that we would like to go towards a homesteading way of life and our first edition to the farm of course was chicken I love how chickens can help with pest problems and lay eggs so you have a source of protein or meat through any given time of the year however I think I jumped into this head first and now I'm learning how to swim while I'm in the middle of the deep end recently just had an injury to one of our chickens and someone on Facebook gave me the link to this amazing page I've spent over four hours reading tons of Articles now on this and I will continue to use this as my chicken Bible!
