New to the group but not to chickens. Recently purchased new breeds and was googling to see if my suspicion was correct, that I have a cockerel on my hands. Got carried away reading other items when I found this group (have seen it in the past but just never took the plunge).

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? not new... goodness, 15 years ago?

(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 16

(3) What breeds do you have? Barred rock, buff orpington, brahma, mosaics, blue laced red wyandotte, salmon faverolle (1), double laced Barnevelder.. I think that's all (plus call ducks and mandarine ducks)

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Their personalities, beauty, no food scrap waste from my kitchen and of course farm fresh eggs from chickens I know

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?. Far too many to list

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. We have a small collection of animals: 4 dogs, 1 cat, 2 goats, 2 horses and chickens & ducks

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D I was searching for salmon faverolle colors.. I have 1 for the first time and suspect it is a cockerel.. wanted to see if anyone had tips on identifying

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
There's no way that's a pullet.
Can you keep him?
Yes, I think I can - HOA says no roosters however a meeting is coming up and I was thinking about turning in a letter to see if we can keep him. I usually am pretty lucky and have never received a cockerel in my orders. I didn't think it was a pulled LOL
