New to the group

Hey there from southwest UT! My first foray into chickens started in May with 10 chicks: 5 Cream Legbar, 3 F1 Olive Egger, and 2 Mint Eggers purchased from a small hatchery 5 miles away. So far so good with no sickness or loss, but they’re sure struggling with our high 90’s temps right now. Glad to be in this group so I can learn from everyone’s experience!

Yes it's a roaster this summer! Lots of cool water, chickens appreciate a fan blowing, they will line right up in front of it! Wetting the floor down can also lower the temp.
