Hello! This is a great site full of all kinds of useful information. I really enjoy looking around at all of what you have to show.
I have had chickens for the past 3 years...started with ISA Brown layers. I had six up until a few weeks ago when a negligent neighbour let his Siberian Husky run loose. After that I had four so I decided to up my little flock and add a bit of variety. I added 2 White Phoenix (hen and roo), a RIR hen and a Silver Laced Wyandotte. Sadly my roo developed pneumonia and died shortly after I got him home. I liked having the rooster so I managed to find another one that was in need of a good home and some hens of his own. He is having a great time here. He looks like my SLW but has teal green feathers on his back, short tail and feathered feet. (I think he is a cross breed but has a very good temperment)
I managed to get a line on more SLWs and this upcoming Saturday I will be adding 3 more hens and a rooster to my quickly growing group.
I did have a flock of Bantam birds when I was a kid and I always wanted to have chickens again....so now I do.
Thanks,
Scott
