new to the whole langshan thing! how big do they really get?

i'm in the process of purchasing sq blue langshans from a breeder and im wondering how large they get! Do i need to keep them on sand? any pics would be appreciated! thank you guys!

No need to keep them on sand as their feathers are not as brittle or as long as a Cochin or Brahma.

They get HUGE. Here's some examples:

The pullet to the right is the same age as the cockerel.

He's approximately 30" tall. The pullets still have some growing to do...but let me warn you. They are NOT heavy. I thought I was starving him...come to find out, he's not supposed to weigh as much as I thought he was! lol
