Hi there,
I have just got two chicks and about to get some more, I know nothing about raising them, so it is all a steep learning curve
Cheers

A lot of new owners use newspaper under chicks, this is a no no, you want to use pine chips or pine flakes under them as a bedding. The newspaper is slick and the chick can develop splay leg from not having a sure footing. Also cedar is toxic to chickens. Start chicks under a heat lamp with a thermometer 95 degrees the first week and 5 degrees less each week by raising the light up.
Welcome and enjoy!
