new to this - 4 ducks and unsure what now!

I have 4 ducklings - 2 that were born on April 2, 2010 (Good Friday) that were the dyed easter ducks. One is getting rather large and I am guessing is a Pekin. The other one is somewhat smaller and almost khaki colored with speckles on it's bill, not sure what it is. We also have 2 baby mallards that were born on April 15th. I have built them/purchased housing and pens, but I have questions about food and water. I put the 2 easter ducks in a large dog house with a door at night and the mallards in a separate house that is fully enclosed. (we have coons and a large owl that like to hang out in the yard at night) I have put water and food in the houses with them at night but it is an awful mess in the mornings when I let them out. Is it necessary to leave food and water for them at night?

No, they don't need the food and water at night. Just be sure to give it to them in the morning.

Ducklings need water to swallow there food so if there is anything they can eat in there enclosure you just might want to get a waterer they can't knock over to keep with them.

Ducklings are messy and the mess just gets bigger as they get older.
