With what? Owning chickens?
First you have to determine what size flock you want then build for twice that number.
Visit the Coop and Run Forum to learn about proper coop and run design.
Then determine what breeds best suit your climate then your needs.

Hello, and welcome! When you are ready to pick out some to start with, I would pick the breed or breed's that would be best for the area that you live in. Some breed's do best in colder climates, while other's do best in hot climates.

There are so many factors. The 1st thing to consider is "Can you have Chickens where you live"? Then what is the climate where you live? Do you need to prepare for freezing weather? Another one is neighbors. Will they be okay with a Crowing Rooster, or can you only have Hens?
There are many things to consider and this is not a "One size fits all" situation. Birds have illnesses and sometimes need to be "culled".
