This chook is the result of a Rhode island red cock over a Rhode island white hen.
7 weeks
Im wondering if we can tell yet on pullet or rooster?
This one has a much larger comb than its sibling of same breed, same age.
Thanks in advance

Nooo 😫 he was my favourite
Is it his colouring that's the give away. Or something else ?

Where did you get it from or was it hatched? Curious if it was supposed to be a sexlinked Cinnamon Queen?
I was told this one was a 50/50 chance. As was darker than the other one when hatched. Some were sex linked yes. The other brown one I was told was definitely a hen based on colour.
They come from a hatchery

Interesting. With a Cinnamon Queen or other red sexlink, it should be the opposite. The roosters are lighter in color and the hens are darker/more red.

Sounds like they may have known this one was not sexlinked out of the gate if they told you it was a 50/50 chance. Maybe a second generation CQ or some other production red hybrid 🤷‍♂️
