Howdy, I have read some great info on this site and finally decided to join. Especially since I am now keeping chickens again. Years ago I had raised several different breeds, and even took some to shows. I am now the proud owner of 4 lavender orpingtons. This breed is new to me, and they are still in the guessing age. I was supposed to have 3 hens and a roo, but it's looking more like 2 of each. Looking forward to meeting ppl, and learning about this breed. Thanks :)

Welcome! I have one Lavender Orp. Sweet beautiful friendly hen. About 18 weeks. Waiting for eggs. I think @Miss Dottie raises them? She has been a wealth of info for me! Good luck!

Thank you both so much! It's nice to have a place where ppl like to talk about chickens as much as I do :) most of my friends don't have them so, they aren't as excited to hear about them as I am lol I am sure I will have questions for @Miss Dottie at some point, thanks again!

We understand completely! My friends & co-workers get that glassy stare when I start on about 'my girls'...
