Like I said, I am new to wall framing. Does this look right? If I decide to combine those 2 windows, would I be ok with no center stud? The top horizontal stud will be doubled up. Thanks

If that is a load-bearing wall you can't just eliminate those studs. If you want to remove them and put one larger window in you have to put in a properly sized header over the top of the window. And doubling up a 2x4 is not going to cut it. You'd want at least to doubled up 2x6 depending on the span.Like I said, I am new to wall framing. Does this look right? What structure are you framing for? Is it part of a house in which you need to follow code and be sure it will hold the weight of the roof, or is this a wall of a chicken coop that just needs to be solid (enough)?Like I said, I am new to wall framing. Unnecessary for under 4' spanIf that is a load-bearing wall you can't just eliminate those studs. Not on a load bearing wall.Unnecessary for under 4' span
