Hi everyone! I joined this group today but have been using you all as a resource over the last 3 years. We started with 4 laying hens (at about 3-4 mo old) and loved them! As their production decreased, we added 4 new “hens” last spring but they were only 8 weeks old. However, one ended up being a rooster. We decided to keep him, so now we are at 1 rooster and 4 hens, as we have lost 3 of our initial group. Anyway, we decided to incubate some of our eggs, and our first one hatched and is doing well. However, we have another struggling (I think) which is why I decided to join. You all seem to know so much, and I’m always coming back to this resource! Thanks for all of your help and support, who knew I would be so worried about this little one!
