New turkeys! Narragansetts or Bronze?

We got these from the feed store and they were sold as Narragansetts, but I read about the bronzes today and now I'm wondering which we have? I've seen pics of both at 3 weeks (which is how old ours are) and they are hard to tell apart from ours. Help!






Love these guys though - they have so much personality and already when we took them out of the cage for a little while today they generally stayed close to us witIt is so much fun having them We have chickens and we've enjoyed them too, but the turkeys - they're just little turkeys!!

They probably are Narrangansette's BUT they look just like my 4 week old Bronzes that I have, except they are smaller.Of course I'm no expert and maybe their faces close up would look different

Yes - it's hard to see the color differences in pictures of Narragansetts and Bronzes. These guys definately have brown/bronze color going on, but I don't know if the Narragansetts are that color too. Do you have pictures?

Narragansetts will start to get a frosted appearance on their wings starting at about three weeks. Before that, bronzes and Narragansetts are about the same. It looks to me like there is no lightening of the wings yet, but that may be because they are just a little too young yet. I think the lighter color in the second picture is just the reflection of the flash.

Our gals and guy (we think it is 3/1) are about 4 months old now! Boy, do they grow quickly! Our tom was really strutting his stuff today - quite the show-guy. I wish I had a camera with me. He's looking pretty disheveled here...








We are loving our farm The calming part of the day (most of the time!) is taking care of these guys.
