New user from VA

Hello I live in Virginia and raise chickens with my wife currently I have about 30 egg layers. We have red sex links, black sex links, blue andalusians, and one 9 year old light brahma
We also raise bantams, currently have some black cochin bantams, wheaten oegb, bb red oegb, blue red oegb, and working on some brown leghorn bantams, welsummer bantams
(for those who don't know oegb stands for old english game bantam)

We also have a cute minirex rabbit that lives with some of the bantams, corturnix quail, a pair of finches and a pair of parakeets, oh and two silly dogs that love chickens.

Hi, I'm HappyChickenLover's wife and I just joined too.

I'm the one responsible for his addiction, lol!

My parents got some laying hens when I was 6 and that started MY addiction, but I was 12 when I got birds but that were completely my own. Now we have all the birds that he listed, plus we're always looking for other things to add to the collection. I'm the secretary for our local poultry club, and I want to eventually become a poultry judge.

I used to post all the time on the PYA site, but I thought it was time to try a new forum!

Yea I currently have 2 black cochin bantams
they are very good lap birds, can be very very calm and have a low crow
