(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
No. I've raised chicken and quail my whole life, albeit in Florida.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We're currently hatching and hoping to have a crew of 5-9.

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
The routine and cuteness. The eggs are a nice perk too.

master gardener, avid reader, hiker

Dog, cat, bairn on the way. Looking to raise chickens, geese and eventually some goats.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Always knew about BYC, but now that we're starting a little mini homestead, time to jump on board!
