New with chickens

Yayyyyy!

:welcome

First of all- Welcome to BYC! I am sure you have lots of questions with your eggciting new babies arriving next month. Enjoy poking around the website and forum! My babies are arriving end of April. I will be using a Tupperware bin with a hardware cloth lid to keep them from flying out- As always, my Brinsea Ecoglow to keep them warm, my chick waterer and my chick feeder.

There are several ways to build a brooder, but for me the large storage Tupperware works best, is something I have existing in the house and is waterproof for when the babies spill the water lol.

Hello and welcome to BYC! I'm so glad you decided to join our friendly and helpful community.
Do you have any specific questions about the chicks or anything they need? It's a lot easier to offer suggestions if we know what type of info you're looking for.

:frow :welcome Most of us use storage bins with vent holes made into the top, some use heat lamps, some use brooder heats, there threads in the forums for starting and raising, we each have our own way, lots of it is cost factor and what you want to do, there is a lot of knowledge on the sight,
