new years treat

[chicken parm]

while out feeding my chickens this morning,I caught out of the corner of my eye a small bobwhite quail siting in my frozen veggie garden. he was fluffed up keeping himself warm. I gave him some cracked corn and wheat for energy. and wished him a happy new year. it made my day!!

awh and he just stayed around and ate it? I'd so pick hiim up and keep him...sounds like he may have been someones released birdie if he didnt spook!
