It is a fan forced incubator. It has water trays in the bottom or humidity. This one does not have circulated air??
Get the kit with the auto turner.
It is digital and does a good job of incubating eggs

Ok I will keep that one in mind. I have decided to just keep the junk bator for a couple of reasons. It is a fan forced incubator. It has water trays in the bottom or humidity.

Also I would buy the small brinsea mini advanced bator but it only holds 7 eggs, and normally that would be ok, because I would never get more the 6 eggs at a time, but this time around a friend of mine got 6 eggs as well as me and they would not all fit!! That little one seems like a perfect starter, but again this one time around would not fit all the eggsOk I will keep that one in mind. I have decided to just keep the junk bator for a couple of reasons.
#1. This is my first time doing this
#2. I will only be hatching prob once a year if that, unless someone would like me to hatch eggs for them.
#3. With the thermometer hygrometer I have it I think where it needs to be. I’m testing one that I bought yesterday from pet smart all living things hygrometer thermometer just to see if I could get it to hold where I want it. Testing it. I woke up this morning and temp is 99.5 and holding and humidity is 40-41, that seems super low to me, but was told that is where it should be for 18 days then up it to 60. Is that right?? Just does not seem right, and I am a little concerned at keeping very little water in there to keep it that low, I feel like I will be adding water daily or more.
I am determined to get this new hatch right with the help of my BYC I feel we will get this.
Again I know I have told you this but it means so much you are helping me!! It truly 100% makes me feel so good about this![]()
Thank you

Yes they will be silkies again!!! So 50-60Are the next eggs silkies?
Humidity depends a lot on the breed hatched. Silkie eggs are good at up to 50%. Marans like closer to 30%. It has to do with the shells and how permeable they are
Happy Hatching!
I would go with 45 to 50% humidity and then 65% at lockdown(day 18 when you set for hatching)Yes they will be silkies again!!! So 50-60
Or 50-55??
