I'm from Casa Grande Az and I'm very new at this and wanting to start off raising me some Silkies...I've never thought I'd be doing this but I have fell in love with these special birds :). Where can I go to purchase these beauties???
 
Welcome to Backyard Chickens. You can go to "where am I, where are you," in the social forum to locate and post on your state thread. Ask if anyone has silkies for sale OR if they know of a good breeder. You can get them from a hatchery BUT, they won't look like the lovely fluffy silkies you see pictured on here.


Second put "Silkie thread," in the searchbox and it will pop up. That is the main thread for silkie people, there are offers by color.
 
Welcome from Wisconsin.

We have five Silkies from hatching eggs that were sent to us through the mail. We were the "winners" of an auction of the hatching eggs on BYC.
