Hello All,
Bursting with excitement over having chickens. Been a chicken mom for about two weeks. 2 Jersey Giants, 2 Rhode Island reds, 8 Brahmas, 6 Guineas. 4 of the Brahmas do not have feathers on their feet, so....from what I have read googling they are not actually Brahma's. I contected where we purchased them and they have offered to get us 4 new Brahmas. Oh my goodness, I can't imagine a total of 20 birds. What am I thinking!!! So glad googling brought me here to byc. Thought I read it all.... Nope sure haven't. It's just me and my spouse with these birds. 40 somethings trying our hand at homesteading. Gardening and chickens to start. Trying to friend my chickens and it isn't working to well. Off to find what I can do to win them over!

Welcome welcome! Of my 3 Brahmas, one had no leg feathers. Then it did not start getting the black points. THEN he all the sudden had a very red, quickly growing comb. Soooo...my white leghorn cockerel is...not a brahma pullet lmao. But he IS my absolute favorite with the most friendly and chill personality and my silly guy who has, between 3 and his now 6weeks of age, escaped the brooder, perched on and even ended up IN the open top plastic feeder, and the only one thus far who will roost on the feeder, the waterer, the other chicks... love my notta-brahma lol
