(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am a newbie!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We started off with 16 but we are already down to 14
also ended up with 4 unexpected roosters so our flock will diminish by 3 very soon
(3) What breeds do you have?
Welbar (5), Lavender Orphington (1), Silver Laced Wyandotte (4), Salmon Faverolle (2), Easter Egger Bantam, Misc Bantam (don't know the breed)
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
My kids are young, and they are loving the chicken therapy! and I love that I get to share this experience with them. Also wanted fresh, organic eggs
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Cooking and baking!
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We are a family of 6. We have 4 children 8 years and under, and a goldendoodle named Walter. I am a stay at home mom, part time tax prep consulstant, and my husband is a physical therapist.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I have LOVED all the expertise I have found on this site, and look forward to sharing our wisdom and experiences as well!
