Okay hope I posted the pics correctly!
Our coop is made from mostly recycled materials and some good deals...All the wood came from throw away piles at construction sites, the 3 windows came from Craigslist for 10 bucks each, the screen door on the run I got from Lowes for $5! Screen had a small tear, which is fine with me because I was going to cover with hardware cloth anyway!
Still lots to do...fill in around the outside of run (where we sank the hardware cloth) with dirt, stitch overlapping hardware cloth and chicken wire, we have stacks of shakes that we cut from free pallets to apply for siding, and also connect the nesting boxes.
Our largest cost were the roof and hardware cloth.
My hubby and I have never built anything from scratch before! So this has been quite fun! We never could have done it without all your helpful post! Thank You!

GREAT JOB!!!

We built a "mostly recycled" coop last summer - old fence panels, scraps, odd sized pieces from the lumber yard at $0.50-$2.00 a piece. I found it usually took a little more time to "jimmy" the odd pieces together just "so". But what a joy! If I had to do it again, I'd put a higher run (like yours)... ours is quite low (about 4'); big enough for the kids to get in, hug & cuddle the hens, but that's about it (& they'll soon be too big for that).

Here's to the high run!!

just letting you know that that plywood that youu have on the door side of the coop, probably the whole coop, does not stand up to water verywell. I know that its cheap but i have used it, and when it gets wet it gets soggy, molds, and crumbles. Just hinting you there. but looks great!!!
