Good evening all. This is my second attempt at hatching eggs, first attempt was a total dud, 0% hatch, but had several extenuating kinks that I’ve worked out. My incubator has been up and running for a week and I think I have the hot/cold spots mapped out. I’m hoping to set eggs tonight or first thing in the morning.

My question is, one side consistently fluxes between 99.1 to 99.5, and the other side 99.5-100.3. Am I better to put them on the “hotter” or “colder” side, or split them? If I split, should I rotate from side to side every few days, or just keep them in a consistent spot? It’s a forced air incubator. Humidity is steady on all 4 Govee hygrometers between 37 and 40%. Thanks for the help. Here’s hoping to better success this time!!

Good for you for doing your research! 🙂

I prefer to rotate my eggs around in incubators so that none are stuck in a "hot" or "cold" spot throughout incubation. Best wishes for your next hatch!
