Ok. I have been looking around around BYC pages and decided to make my own incubator. I used a styrofoam cooler that my daughter's insulin is shipped in, a water heater thermostat, a light bulb, a pc fan and an adapter. I made my own egg turner from 1/4" pvc pipe that I can turn from the outside. I read on here to drill holes in the thermostat and put a spacer to keep it off the wall of the bator. I had the temp ranging from 99.4-101.2 so I decided to go ahead and set my eggs yesterday. It has been 24 hours since I set the eggs and the temp has been ranging from 98.4-99.5 Should I turn it up just a bit or just sit it out and hope for the best? I have seen a few people on here that have had success with temperature flucuations. Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks
Tony~

tony, it is in my opinion better for thetemp to be a little lower than higher. Lower temps will at worst add a day to the incubation. To hot and the egg will cook. To raise temp you can add a couple of glass bottles of warm water, it is called a heat sink. Your temps are fine. with the water jars it should steady out the temps. Good luck.

Thanks for the advice Fishman!
I will try the water jars and not mess with the temperature.
