Hi, We are totally new to chickens. Husband is navy stationed in norfolk. We live in Elizabeth city nc. We have three kids all homeschooled and thought it would be nice to have some fresh eggs and for the kids to get to raise the chickens. We just got 6 chicks from ideal poultry everybody loves them. 1 ideal,1golden sex link, 1 production red, 1 barred rock, 1 sil. wyandotte, 1 ameraucana, we also have 3 chihuahuas,1 doberman, 2 guinea pigs, 2 tarantulas and 1 cat.
