Hi Everyone~ I'm Rhonda from North East Georgia. My 14 year old son and I have recently became the proud owners of several different types of Chickens. A couple of months ago we took a position as caretakers of a property here in Georgia. The former tenants had left suddenly and abandoned a large number of Game Birds. We took on the task of rehabilitating the starving birds and finding them new homes. We quickly discovered that Game Birds weren't for us, and fell in love with Silkies, D'uccles, and Cochins, and Polish birds. We presently have 6 RIR, 4 Cochin, 2 Polish, 8 Mille Fluer D'uccles, 2 Silkie Cochin Cross, 16 Silkies, 1 Serama, 4 Easter Eggers, and a couple of young roos that we just rescued... I have no idea what they are.....
In addition to our bird family members ~ there is myself, my husband, my son (14), and my daughter (19) Along with 2 yorkies, 1 peke, and 5 peke pups who will be ready for new homes in a few weeks!
Needless to say ~ it is never boring around our place!
