Just joined a couple days ago but haven't had much time to really check the site out well yet. Let me tell ya a little about myself. I've got 3 kids, Keesha is 12, Jazmin is 7, and Cayden will be 1 in a few weeks. I'm fairly new to chickens but have had a little success with hatching some eggs. I have mostly White leghorns that won't set so I have to hatch them in an incubator. Of course, it's not mother nature so success has been limited. I have 1 RIR roo, 3 americanas, 2 bantams, and 6 old english games. I am looking for some buff orpingtons and a silver pheonix. I have 4 roosters, 2 white leghorns and 2 buff mutts i'd like to see go so I can make room for my newbies. Trying to get my pens lined back out so that I don't have so many mutts. I also have 21 dogs, breeds include: black labs, redbone coonhounds, black and tan coonhound, red tick coonhound, beagle, peekapoo, jack russell terrier, minature pinscher, chihuahua, pit bull and rottweiler. There are 6 horses, 1 thoroughbred, 2 quarter horses, 1 appaloosa, 1 paint and 1 shetland pony. My cats have dwindled from 7 to 4 due to an illness and a couple of other animal attacks. Just became mom to 13 ducklings and there's an older drake duck that hangs around our pond with the 1 lonely female goose. I'd love to find her a mate so that her nest setting every year would not be in vain. I have 2 fish and my girls each have a hamster, plus a rabbit that stays in the feed building and a euromastix lizard named Max that inhabits a 55 gallon fish tank in my girls' room. Yes, my days are VERY busy. There's always something that has to be changed, fed, watered or in some way taken care of. lol! But I love it, I can think of nothing else I'd rather be doing. I've got about 25 eggs in an incubator right now, keeping my fingers crossed that they will start making their way into the world on the 26th. I tried hatching the leghorn eggs under the game hens but they didn't accept them. Even thought of trying to goose but was afraid she'd lead the baby chicks into the pond. Not good! So if you or anyone you know has goose eggs or a male goose, buff orpingtons or silver pheonixes I'd certainly be interested. And if you're interested in 2 white leghorn roosters or two half buff mutt roosters, let me know.
