Hi, I'm Jenn & I am excited to learn from all the experienced chicken pros out there!
Thought I'd start with the standard questions & my answers:
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
New! I have a coop 1/2 built in the backyard, just got finished reading City Chicks & I'm excited to get started! My grandmother had chickens on her farm when I was growing up & I'm hoping I can create some of the same memories for my kids!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
0
(3) What breeds do you have?
I have found a local farm who is selling & I have plans to buy Aracuanas, Cuckoo Marans, Plymouth Rock, Black Stars & Rhode Island Reds. I thiknk we will start with 7 chickens. But, I'm not sure!!!! (excited & looking for feedback!!!) Our main goal is eggs at this point. Plus, eating bugs around the yard!

Remodeling my house, Gardening, scrapbooking, running, biking

Well, I am married to Nick (SAHD), have 2 children, DS Everett is 4 & DD Makena is 3. We have a kitty, Zoey who is 8. I am in management
