Newbie from Scotland

Hi,
Greetings from Scotland where four seasons arrive in one day!

Glad to have found BYC as so far, quite a few of my chicken queries have been answered and looking forward to the chickie-chat.

Currently have in our family 9 chooks and 4 ducks all free ranging. We are lucky to have 4 acres for us all to enjoy but they still like to go next door to the neighbours and hide their eggs.
Four of our chooks are ex-bats who arrived here in April very small, quiet and featherless. They are now looking great, fully feathered and have put weight back on.
Their favourite past-time is to sit waiting at the backdoor to get into the kitchen to snaffle the cat food!

Also have 1 hubby, 2 teens and 3 cats

hello from across the water in Nova Scotia, Canada (from a MacDonald no less.. hehe). It always amazes me how many people from so many places are here and crazy about chickens. We just got our first 9 and I am already thinking of more. Hope you're having a great day and glad to meet ya!
