Newbie from TN....Hi everyone !!

Hi everyone.....My husband and I have recently decided to join the rest of you and start raising chickens. We're buying 4 barred Plymouth Rock hens today and should be receiving them next week sometime. We're very excited about the whole process. We have 2 children, daughter 12 and son 3, who are also very excited. Now the fun begins....getting set up for their arrival. We still need to build a coop and convert our old rabbit hutch into a brooder. Tick, Tock, LOL!

Well first thing welcome!! You might want to be prepared to house the birds BEFORE you get them. If your chickens are content the will be much better birds and produce better for you. Stress on livestock is not good.
