Hello BYC,
I do not have any chickens just yet, nor have I ever. I have wanted chickens for so long and I also work at an animal shelter, and with the calls we get from people needing to get rid of chickens, I think having a coop at the ready isn't a bad idea. I stumbled on the BYC site for coop ideas and have been addicted ever since.
I plan on getting 6-8 hens, hopefully sometime very soon (orps, wyandottes, and ?). The coop is almost done! I will also be a foster for other homeless farm yard friends.
My hobbies include gardening, beekeeping, and animal things.
I have a very understanding husband and a diva hound dog.
I look forward to getting to know you all!
