Hi,
I am new to the site as well as new to raising chickens. 6 weeks ago we got 21 "free" chicks from a farmer who was sent the wrong type of chicks, he ordered meat chicks and they sent him layers. Since then I was able to give 6 away so I am down to 15. I will have to say that I am enjoying them immensely. We built a 6 x 8 chicken coop. My husband calls it the Taj Ma Hal of chicken coops. I am still putting the final touches on it, but we went ahead and moved them out to it as they were out growing their brooder. I have used this site as a reference point on many occasions and thought I should just go ahead and join. Looking forward to some great chicken discussions.
