I'm so excited to join this group, you guys make it look easy. I have 19 chickens in all & I'm not 100% on every type I have. I was able to buy some specific breeds, RIR & Blk Australorp, but the rest were just laying hens & I'm pretty sure my black & white ones are BR & not Dominique because they don't have a rose comb? I think that's what I read?? One looks like a buff orphington & the rest, I'm not sure? My only Rooster out of 6 bought from a straight run is Coal & he is a blk australorp. I'm looking forward to soaking up all your knowledge & learning a lot! Got my first egg Tuesday & a 2nd one Wed & yesterday I found a soft yucky one?? Still don't know who is laying or if it's the same girl? My oldest batch is about 17-18wks & then I have some that are only 13-14 weeks. I wasn't expecting eggs until August so I was thrilled!! Looking forward to this amazing experience.
