I bought these chicks when they were 6 weeks old. I was told there were 5 hens and 1 rooster. 2 of the "hens" now make what sounds like a precursor to a crow. Not a peep out of the indicated "rooster". I looked for the spurs but as of yet only very tiny little bumps above their back toes...and they ALL have this bump! Can anyone tell me if I got suckered into buying a lot of rooster??Also if you can tell me what breed they may be, I would appreciate it.
I apologize in advance for the poor pix.

I see three or four cockerels in your bunch.

The two red ones, the white one with the rose comb and possibly the VERY back one in the last photo...but it's blurry and I don't know the age.

From those pictures, and not knowing the ages. Just guessing here.

It looks like all the red ones there are roosters, and the white one. Perhaps the blackish/brown too 'slim chance' but it's hard to see the comb type. I can't tell by the pictures without ages.

Also for future info. Roosters don't get spurs until they are around a year old. Then they start growing them. Mine are around 2 years old, and are still working on finishing them up.

All chicks have that 'bump' on the back of their leg.

Sorry you got scammed.

ETA:

Look at others posts. If you practice and look a lot you will get better at comb sexing. By 6 weeks I can usually tell the gender on most all of my birds. I went to a fair and picked out the exact genders I wanted when they were only a few days old.

I am so, so sad. I do love all of them. My girls want to know about the mostly black one...I'm going to have a hard time 'splaining what to do next! Since they just decided to name the black one "Blake" if it's a boy! Sorry, I thought I said their ages. They are 11 weeks old.
