In the Brooder
Hi, we live in a city, Tacoma WA, but are allowed up to six hens, no roosters. My grandson and I plan to get an enclosed coop, with an enclosed yard, as we have hawks and great horned owls as well as racoons, so we want to protect the ladies. We like the idea of eggs, but mostly want them for pets. We will be looking for birds that tolerate both heat and cold. It will be a while before we get going on this, but we are happy for any suggestions, especially how to keep them warm in the winter, and cool in summer. Thanks
